It’s that time of year again. National Novel Writing Month (or whatever NaNoWriMo means). I am participating again, trying to get back into the swing of writing consistently day after day. After all, I did spend a month in California, soaking up the sun, relaxing, having fun. Now it’s time to get back to work.
Since I have already written nearly twenty thousand words on The Jaded Jezebel, and since my novels average seventy thousand plus words, I figured that finishing my novel would qualify for the NaNoWriMo goal of writing 50,000 words in thirty days. I have revised my Writing Progress tracker to reflect my daily accomplishment.
This is what my tracker looks like. You will note that November has three columns instead of two. That’s because I have to deduct the words I have already written to track my actual daily total and cumulative daily words. Pretty nifty, if I must say so myself.
Hopefully, this will get my writing back on track, allow me to compete successfully in a great writing exercise, and get Jaded Jezebel into draft form.
Two days down, twenty-eight to go!
