As a trilogy of the first books in the series, we focus on three different crimes that MacFarland tries to solve as he deals with the man, Norris Peterson, who killed MacFarland’s wife. Does MacFarland get justice, or will Peterson’s wealth and influence protect him from MacFarland’s and society’s retribution?
