I’ve finished the last book in the Hot Dog Detective series of cozy mysteries. So, what do I do now?
I could take a vacation (it would require all of you to buy my entire series several times over to afford that, unfortunately). Or I could start on a new series. So that is what I’m going to do.
I am locating the new series in a town called Crystal Cove, California. Crystal Cove is a town of about 10,000 people, located in Northern California. In the 1800’s, Crystal Cove made its fortune through fishing and lumbering. In the 1900’s, it made its fortune primarily as a fishing community. In the 21st Century, the town is much more of a writer’s and artist’s retreat, with a heavy emphasis on serving as a vacation getaway for Bay Area snobs.
The hero of the Crystal Cove mystery series is an aging Sally O’Brian. She and her husband were killed in an auto accident, but it turns out that Heaven doesn’t quite want Sally O’Brian just yet. She returns to the mortal plane with a mission.

Yes, she sees ghosts, primarily the ghost of her dear husband Matthew O’Brian.
