I haven’t been writing much lately. Instead, I’ve been binging on The Good Wife. I hadn’t watched it for seven years, being very mistaken about its content. I thought it was a sappy soap opera type of program. Maybe in the back of my mind I knew it was about lawyers, but it never attracted me. Then I started watching it on Amazon Prime, mainly to see if Amazon Prime was working on my TV again (it had stopped working because of some software glitch, but apparently they got that fixed–thanks Amazon Prime!).
I find that I really enjoy The Good Wife. It’s a fascinating series with good legal battles, interesting characters (only once did I hear myself say, “Oh, that’s a stupid thing for her to do!”), and great plots. I can learn a lot about how to make a character sympathetic and a series enduring.
