Which Heroine Are You?

Sally O’Brian…  Ava Storm…  Cynthia Pierson.

My three heroines are very different people. If the people an author writes about are just extensions of her personality, I wonder what that says about me.  Perhaps that’s a topic for a future discussion.

In the meantime, I would like to find out which kind of a heroine do you most closely identify with? Review the descriptions of these three women and let me know which one you most closely relate to.

Sally O’Brian, Retired Grade School Teacher – ESFJ

Sally Pierce O’Brian is the kind of woman who turns heads not with glamour, but with presence. In her mid-fifties, she carries herself with the confidence of someone who knows exactly who she is—and has no intention of pretending otherwise. A lifelong advocate for honesty and fairness, Sally spent two decades teaching third and fourth graders at Roosevelt Elementary School, where her classroom was known for equal parts discipline, warmth, and unexpected bursts of laughter.

Sally is grounded, witty, and strong-willed, with a deep well of compassion and a low tolerance for hypocrisy. She’s the kind of woman who’ll offer you a cup of tea, listen to your whole story, and then tell you—kindly but directly—what you need to hear. Loyal to a fault and unafraid to raise a little hell when justice is on the line, Sally O’Brian is the heart of any room she walks into.

Ava Storm, Scry Witch – ISFP

Ava Storm is a quiet force—introspective, creative, and emotionally perceptive in a way that borders on uncanny. As a scry witch, Ava doesn’t just see with her eyes—she sees with her intuition, her dreams, and the ripples people leave behind in the world. Ava is fiercely independent and deeply empathetic, guided more by feelings than logic, and more by instinct than plan.

Raised in a world steeped in magic, Ava carries the legacy of two powerful yet enigmatic parents. Her mother, Zeta Storm, was a legendary witch known for her strength and mystery—and her sudden disappearance when Ava was sixteen left an ache in her soul that never fully healed. Her father, a wandering wizard, was never quite rooted in her life, giving her a strong sense of self-reliance from an early age.

Her home is a haven of half-finished spellwork, thrifted antiques, and warm, protective energy. She’s more comfortable speaking through actions than words—she’ll fix your protective wards before she’ll offer advice, and she’ll stand beside you in a crisis even if she never says she’s worried.

Detective Cynthia Pierson –  ESTJ

No nonsense, always serious, total control. At least that’s the image she wants to portray.

Cynthia is an Aries – high creativity & imagination; needs to make dreams a practical reality; can bring dreams into the material world; too much passion and creative visualization for relationships; partners feel as though they are competing with her creative dreams; should always maintain just one relationship at a time, should never use her sexual power over others.

          Her favorite color? Dark green.

She’s a detective with the Denver PD; Badge 34620. Her new partner is Benny Lockwood. She uses a Wilson Combat 1911 for personal use; a Glock for police use; she sometimes carries a Colt 1911 New Agent, 45 ACP, 3” Handgun.

          Yes, she likes her guns.

So, which type of heroine are you? Drop me a line in the Comments section and let me know. And if you are one of the thirteen other potential heroines that I’ve not written about, let me know. You might be the next heroine in one of my mystery series!
